2K Games today announced the Rapture Metro Pack, the second installment of post-launch downloadable content for the critically acclaimed BioShock 2, which is now available from both the Xbox LIVE Marketplace and the PlayStation Network.
This download focuses on the multi-player aspect of the game, adding six new multi-player maps based on locations from the single-player campaign, and raising the rank cap to 50. In addition, players who reach the new rank cap may choose to reset their rank back to one, and receive a special mask signifying the achievement, meaning that there are now a total of one-hundred ranks to earn. There are three new achievements related to the new content.
2K has also announced that there will be several more downloadable expansions available in the coming months, and that these will focus on the single-player experience, expanding the lore of Rapture and its strange denizens.
