Continuing their conquest of retro-styled gameplay, Capcom is giving Dark Void a comeback appearance for the PC and iPhone. Titled Dark Void Zero, it returns to the adventures of Rusty, a warrior and test-pilot—as well as a close friend to famous scientist Nikola Tesla.
Dark Void Zero features a mix between original gameplay elements as well as a few modern updates. The game itself consists of using a rocket pack to navigate through three game levels, with the primary objective being the closing of Portal X in order to save all of humanity. Achievements and leaderboards are available on both PC and iPhone platforms, as well as a new secret ending to unlock. Additionally, it will feature a soundtrack composed by Bear McCreary, known for his work on Battlestar Galactica.
Dark Void Zero is set for release on April 12, available on both the iTunes App Store for $2.99 and Steam for PC at $5.00.
