According to Fudzilla, the Core i7 920 will soon be replaced by the Core i7 930 as part of Intel’s broader strategy to revamp its LGA1366 lineup with newer, faster chips based on the company’s D0 stepping.
According to reports, the chip will clock in at 2.88GHz and otherwise retain all the features of its bigger brothers: four cores, eight threads, 45nm process, 8MB L3 cache and a 130W TDP.
Its MSRP is expected to be $288-294 USD.
