Heatsink maker Scythe has updated its popular and high-performance MUGEN-2 heatsink with a second revision that adds support for the complete range of the industry’s contemporary CPU sockets.
The new revision now offers support for AM2, AM2+, AM3, LGA775, LGA1156 and LGA1366. Otherwise identical to the previous version, the MUGEN-2 Rev. B weighs 870g, measures 130x100x158mm, uses a copper base with a quintet of heatpipes, and arrives with a 1400 RPM 120MM fan rated at 26.5 dBA.
The new part has an MSRP of approximately $49.00 USD, and is also launching alongside an $8.00 USD mounting kit that adds the new socket support to the original MUGEN-2.
