SEGA today announced on their blog that the highly anticipated “back to the basics” Sonic 4 will be delayed because they’ve decided to incorporate fan feedback to ensure that this is the best Sonic release ever. In addition to the delay, they announced an iPhone/iPad version as well. It leaves one to wonder: while iPhone/iPad development is certainly going to cause delays, “because we love fans!” is a far, far better PR spin.
Either way, a new trailer was released as well, along with the promise of a “big” announcement relating to Sonic 4 Episode I this June.
