Shuttle launches new Pro Series small form factor workstations

Shuttle has just launched a new line of small form factor workstations to refresh their impressive lineup. The new Pro Series offers dual, quad, and six-core workstation variants, all gussied up into a small form factor design, offering optimal performance and stability for professionals who don’t have much desk real estate.

The Pro Series G2 7600 P starts off at the impressively affordable price of $899. It can be fitted with an AMD Athlon II X2 245 dual core processor, or upgraded to an AMD Phenom II 810 Quad core processor. It supports up to 8GB of DDR2 memory, and can house either the ATI FirePro v3700 or NVIDIA Quadro FX 1800 workstation GPUs. Its form factor is 7.5” X 8.2” X 12.8”.

The Pro Series J1 4100P is an Intel-centric model that starts at $999. It can house the Core 2 Duo E7500, but can be upgraded to the Core 2 Quad Q9650 processor. Like its brother, the J1 4100P can be outfitted with up to 8GB of memory and supports the same Quadro and FirePro offerings. Its form factor is 7.5” X 8.5” X 12.8”.

Shuttle is also preparing to release a faster Pro Series small form factor workstation that will offer processor selection from the Intel Core i7 980X Extreme Edition, or an Intel Xeon. It is slated to be released in June. No pricing has been announced at this time.

The Pro Series G2 7600 P and J1 4100P are available now on Shuttle’s website.

ardichoke Ooh-la-la... I've always liked Shuttle's small form-factor boxes. I'm thinking about picking one up to play around with.
