Shuttle unveils X350 slim PC

Shuttle announced the upcoming release of their latest small form factor PC, the X350 Slim PC.

Equipped with a dual-core Intel Atom D510 and NVIDIA ION 2 graphics, the X350 promises true 1080p output via HDMI.  Space is also available for a slim optical drive.

The ultra-compact PC platform—Shuttle X350—is only one-third the size of the previous generation slim PC. At just 1.5 inches thin, the slim design is not only space-saving for projects or applications where space is critical, but it fits easily into any environment with the ability to be mounted behind an LCD TV or LCD monitor. It’s also completely fanless. The internal layout has been meticulously engineered to require no fan, so it’s not only quiet and low in energy consumption, but it’s also dust-free and virtually maintenance free.

The Shuttle X350 Slim PC will be available to order directly from the Shuttle web site starting this week.

DrLiam I love small computers! I'll have to consider this when I replace my ATX form computer.
  2. Bandrik
Bandrik Jeez, it's almost small enough to go into an optical media bay in a standard ATX case.

In actual real-life practice, I wonder how well it would perform as a media center PC. I would like to assume "just fine", but full 1080p video without any choppiness would still surprise me due to its diminutive size.
  3. Jingalls
Jingalls It has the nvidia ion 2 so I would assume it wouldn't have any problems with choppiness. My friend runs mw2 on his netbook with the first generation ion without any problems. Not at full settings, but still pretty impressive.
