While Sony was showing off their 3D TVs and other devices like PlayStation Move and a camcorder with a built in projector, it seems like their VAIO line of personal computers was lost in the mix somewhere. However, when asked, one of the Sony representatives at CES wanted to tell me about their new gaming-focused VAIO laptop—the new VAIO F Series.
Here is where the fun begins—full HD 3D images at a frame refresh rate of 240fps, and powered with an Intel Core i7 processor. The GPU is an NVIDIA GeForce GT540M. Other specs include USB 3, Bluetooth 3.0, 8GB of memory, a 640GB hard drive and an HD webcam. There’s also 5.1 surround sound for your listening pleasure with the help of Dolby Home Theater v3. S-Force. Last, but not least, there is a 3D Blu-ray drive.
Never fear, non-3D people. You will have the ability to turn on or off the 3D easily with a help of a simple button that is located next to the Assist button.
And now the downside of all this power—the VAIO F-series starts at $1449.
