SouthPeak Games announced today that it has signed a deal to publish games based on the professional wrestling brand Total Nonstop Action and its weekly television program TNA iMPACT!. The new game, TNA iMPACT!: Cross the Line, will be available for PSP and Nintendo DS sometime before 2Q10.
“Their unique take on professional wrestling has captivated a continually growing fan base of millions of people across the world,” said Richard Iggo, VP of Marketing for SouthPeak. “We look forward to giving those fans the opportunity to go head to head with all their favorite TNA superstars on the go, on either the PSP system or Nintendo DS.”
Through a newly forged agreement with TNA, SouthPeak has now gained the right to publish the handheld titles that were previously in development by Midway Games. TNA iMPACT! Cross the Line features TNA’s signature six-sided ring, current and new characters, combat that isn’t limited by the ropes, wireless head to head play and much more.
