    Yes, every test is going to be effected by the hardware and software you run it on in combination with the hardware which is being tested. That's why you must run the tested hardware in the exact same sett-up as the control hardware. This gives a comparison, which shows which one is better.

    This guy is trying to come up with a quantifiable, verifiable score to assign a piece of hardware, so that it can be directly compared later without running a control again. Well, that's not how hardware testing works. Sorry.
