Super Street Fighter IV: Dudley, Ibuki and Makoto confirmed

Super Street Fighter IV: Dudley, Ibuki and Makoto confirmed

A video has recently hit YouTube that confirms Dudley, Makoto and Ibuki as playable characters in Super Street Fighter IV.

This video is the first confirmation of their inclusion in the game, squelching considerable speculation. By introducing the final trio of new characters, the video finalizes the nine new fighters that will populate Super Street Fighter IV. Additionally, the video teases the existence of a 10th playable character.

Dudley, Makoto and Ibuki of Street Fighter III fame join T. Hawk, DeeJay, Juri, Adon, Cody and Guy to fill out the roster. Based on the gameplay footage found in the video of the gentlemanly British boxer, Dudley; the Japanese karate master, Makoto; and the deadly ninja, Ibuki, one must wonder if these characters will remain faithful to the play styles that were established in Street Fighter III: Third Strike.

Speculation concerning the 10th character, meanwhile, points towards Hakan, an Arabic oil wrestler. Capcom has been tight-lipped about this conceptual character, but they do lay down a rather large teaser at the end of the video that suggests his inclusion: after the Super Street Fighter IV logo is displayed, a gooey, dripping sound effect plays as an oily substance is shown on the left side of the screen, and a voice simply says, “Looks like it’s time to oil up!” before fading to black.

As the hype machine grows bigger and rumors continue to flow like oil, Capcom is preparing to launch Super Street Fighter IV in just two months on April 28th.

UPSLynx It's going to be a $20 full featured game. Tons of mechanics adjustments, revamped network code with new modes, larger character roster, new gameplay enhancements, ect.
