T-Mobile bails on 1GB 3G softcap

During the Android/G1 launch, it was discovered that users of T-Mobile’s “unlimited” 3G plan would be limited to 50kbps if they exceeded more than 1GB/month in bandwidth. Naturally, people flipped their, uh… stuff. Conveniently, T-Mobile has since retracted their cap. We reckon it’s now some nebulous cap in the 5GB range that will cause another outrage when some poor user exceeds it in about six months.
