Looks like there’s a new game mode in the pipeline for Day 2 of the Sniper Update. Heh.
The new game mode is Payload Race—Where each team has to push a cart up a hill (and it will slide back down if not pushed), while trying to stop the other team from doing the same. This will be a highly chaotic, frenzied bunch of craziness, I can already tell you. From the looks of things, a new map called “Pipeline” will feature this game mode.
Snipers firing arrows down from towers at teams pushing a kart up a hill? Count us in!
In addition to the new game mode, two new Arena maps have been announced: Sawdust and Nucleus. Both feature environmental damage in the form of spinning saw blades and bottomless pits. Not only do you need to watch your back; now you’ll need to watch your step as well.
