Get ready for more ti…. er.. Fighting!
This time the DoA universe takes on “MMA-style fighting” (groan).
From the press release:
It is exciting for us to officially let fans know that we’ve been working on DEAD OR ALIVE 5,” said Yosuke Hayashi, Team NINJA leader. “Our vision for this next installment is that of what we believe is the evolution of DEAD OR ALIVE which is to deliver a high quality, high energy action fighting experience that still keeps to its amazing spirit.”
The game promises all new 3D arenas, and gritty fighter details including sweat and signs of exertion as the fight goes on. In addition, a mechanic by which the player can interact with the arena in order to execute combos and other special moves was mentioned, but not detailed.
No release date has been announced, but they did release a pre-alpha trailer.
Expect some updates after Tokyo Game Show.
