TGS: Dead Rising 2 multiplayer hands on

Those lucky bastards at IGN got a hands-on with the multiplayer mode of Dead Rising 2 at TGS2009. We’re not sure if or where Dead Rising 2 fits in with original Dead Rising canon, as it seems the premise this time is that you are a contestant on a game show that pits people against the undead. What’s more new than that, however, is the multiplayer aspect.

Perhaps it will be a nod to Left 4 Dead, but it seems relatively unique in that the game show is part American Gladiator, part Running Man, and part Smash TV. In the mode shown at the TGS, the players were dropped into an arena, for example.
