The Xbox 360 Slim pictures are fake

Xbox 360 Slim? Er... No.

Over the last few days, the web has been abuzz over what is alleged to be the world’s first images of the Xbox 360 Slim, a possible future product that has previously been inferred by Microsoft CEO Steve Ballmer.

The problem with all such pictures, and any story based on them, is relatively major: It’s not the Xbox 360 Slim. The real product captured in these pictures is none other than the short-lived and easily forgotten Xbox 360 HD-DVD unit.

We know it’s hard to remember a time when HD-DVD wasn’t buried six feet under the combined weight of Sony’s studio bribes and the radness of Netflix, but let’s not let obscurity and irrational exuberance get the best of us.

Cyclonite Heh. I still have my HD-DVD drive for my 360. It's hooked up and everything. RIP HD-DVD.

Colgere Actually, I'm sure Microsoft has a bunch of those HD-DVD cases just sitting around somewhere. Maybe they ought to use them as the new 360 slim cases?

    Just kidding. ;D
  3. Snarkasm
Snarkasm I long for HD-DVD to return victorious. -sigh-
