The folks behind the Indie Royale are getting into the festive spirit with another bundle of great indie games available from now ’til Christmas.
Starting the Xmas bundle off is The Blackwell Trilogy—something of a bundle in itself, it comprises all three of the acclaimed Blackwell point-and-click adventure games from developers Wadjet Eye Games (who discerning bundle buyers may recognise as the makers of Gemini Rue from the launch bundle) . However that’s not all—the games have been remastered to offer improved compatibilty, updated voice acting, some cosmetic enchancements, and some new audio commentary for the original Blackwell Legacy.
Next up is Eets, the adorably quirky 2D puzzle game were you must create impromptu Rube Goldberg machines in order to walk, jump, blow, fling or otherwise propel your Eet to the jigsaw puzzle piece that is the goal of each level. Third is Dino D-Day, simultaneously the most straightforward game in the bundle—being a World War II Source-based FPS—and the most bizzare, given its titular Dinos are of the Nazi variety. Dino D-day is an entirely multiplayer offering for the moment, with six classes for each faction (split between dinosaur/human roles) available for team based carnage.
Finally, The Oil Blue, a simulation game were you must explore the procedurally generated world’s oceans seeking oil. Once you’ve staked your claim, you have a limited time to reach your targets, and must balance the need for upgrades and maintance with your production goals lest you be replaced.
Simply put, it’s another great set of games with a price tag to match. If you need something to keep you occupied over the coming winter nights you certainly could do worse than grabbing the Indie Royale’s Xmas bundle.
