Redlynx has released a video showcasing some of the greatest hits and misses from their popular Xbox Live Arcade title Trials HD. The video features impressive feats of motorcycle riding skill, but more importantly, shows many explosive fails. It is introduced by Brandon DiCamillo and Rake Yohn of Jackass fame, who did voice work for the game.
Trials HD is the most recent of the Trials games, which started off as popular Flash-based games. Trials features physics-based gameplay wherein the player guides a motorcycle rider through complex and dangerous obstacle courses. Controls consist of throttle, and leaning the rider forward and backward to adjust the bike’s angle in the air. Though the mechanics are simple, the gameplay is surprisingly complex.
Epic crashes populate Trials HD. When the player wipes out, the rider flies off the motorcycle and flails around as a ragdoll. Spinning blades, swinging hammers, and precariously placed poles ensure that the wrecks are spectacular. This video encapsulates some of the best moments in Trials HD accidents.
