UFC Undisputed 3

UFC Undisputed 3 cover art for PS3UFC Undisputed 3 has named its cover athlete, and that man is the current UFC Middleweight Champion and universally accepted pound-for-pound greatest MMA fighter, Anderson “The Spider” Silva.

The selection is the result of a fan vote between five of the UFC’s reigning champions: Frankie Edgar (Lightweight), Georges St-Pierre (Welterweight), Anderson Silva (Middleweight), Jon Jones (Light Heavyweight), and Cain Velasquez (Heavyweight). Featherweight and Bantamweight champions were not under consideration for the cover. Over 120,000 votes were cast, and the incredibly popular and seemingly unbeatable Silva (who hasn’t tasted defeat in almost six years) received the most votes.

As its name implies, this will be the third entry in the Undisputed series, and it brings a large number of improvements over its predecessors, including an improved submission system, PRIDE rules as an option, various ground and clinch fighting improvements, and the usual improved graphics.

UFC Undisputed 3 will be released on January 3 for the XBox 360 and Playstation 3.

kryyst UFC 2010 was a great game. Until I started playing EA Sports MMA. I've since tried to go back to UFC and it just feels stiff and boring by comparison. Unfortunately it seems like the MMA 2 game may be permanently sunk due to UFC snapping up Strikeforce and locking down all the fighters.

So now my hope is that UFC 2011 learns from some of the ideas MMA brought to the controls and makes a much more dynamic and fluid game.

Cliff_Forster I'm only interested in fighting if it involves beautiful women, magical projectiles (Hadoken!), or folding steel chairs, not necessarily in that order.
