Ultra-capacitor-based plug-in hybrid is first to reach positive ROI

AFS Trinity has developed the world’s first plug-in hybris drive system that actually is worth the price of producing it. For the first time, a purchase of a plug-in hybrid actually makes economic (an addition to environmental) sense.

The unit is currently being tested on the Saturn VUE Green Line SUV, and specs on the hybrid drive system are said to be: 150mpg, 0-60 in 6.9 seconds, 87mph top speed, and fuel cost for average driving of just over $15/week. (about half-and-half between gas and electric)
