Microsoft has announced in an official blog post that they have removed the 2.5 Million download cap and have extended access to the public beta until January 24th.
Users will still have access to the download even if the 2.5 Million limit is reached. Due to the enormous surge in demand and the fact that many users were unable to access the site over the past 24 hours, the boys at Redmond decided to extend the time to ensure their users a good download experience.
