Everyone’s favorite high-end tablet just got more convenient, as Wacom has recently announced a new Intuos4 tablet that will use Bluetooth instead of the USB connection favored in the rest of the line.
Specs for the device include an 8.0” x 5.0” working area, a physical size of 14.3” x 10.0” and a weight of 2.2 lbs. As expected, the new Intuos4 has 2048 levels of pressure and ±60° tilt sensitivity, as well as the ExpressKeys featured introduced in the Intuos4 line. Finally, the new tablet also includes a USB cable for the purposes of charging.
Tablets are one of those devices where wires can really get in the way of an artist’s workflow in terms where you position the device and what you find comfortable, this new version of the tablet will finally offer the flexibility users have long been hoping for. Preorders have not yet begun, but Wacom says they will start shipping in the next few weeks; interested users can receive shipment alerts by signing up at the Wacom website.
