   that is a very interesting bit of technology...very big brother from the turn of the century. Of course, if I was paying someone to watch my junk, I'd want to be sure they were doing their job. It kinda reminds me of nanny webcams...

   4 May 2009 ~ 10:23am CB These type of systems haven't changed much in all this time. The author mentions that today we would use GPS or cameras, but the best solution is just a digital version of that old key system.
   
   I ran a mall security department for awhile. We had these wands that each officer would carry, and during their patrol, they'd touch the wands to each mounted plate. This would make a record in the wand, which I could download to my computer later.
