Carrying a tag of 7048.winmain_win7rc1.090211-1625, it appears Microsoft may have compiled its first release candidate build of Windows 7 on February 11, 2009 at 4:25 PM. Some sites are reporting that this build represents Windows 7’s transition into the “escrow” phase of development which limits codebase changes to the elmination of showstopping bugs.
Our prediction: The intertorrents will receive the ISO with open arms by February 28.
