Windows 7 RTM hits Technet & MSDN

Windows 7 RTM hits Technet & MSDN

It’s August 6, and that means those of you with Technet or MSDN subscriptions can get your hands on a legitimate ISO of the Windows 7 RTM without dredging the intertorrents.

As we previously announced, today MSDN & TechNet Subscribers will be able to download Windows 7 RTM in English. On October 1st, the remaining languages will be released.

The bits are available now!

And tomorrow, our Volume License (VL) customers with an existing Software Assurance (SA) license will be able to download Windows 7 RTM in English via the Volume License Service Center (VLSC). In a few weeks, the remaining languages will become available to them. If you are a VL customer without a SA license, you will be able to purchase Windows 7 through Volume Licensing on September 1st.

AlexDeGruven MSDN:AA I think is going to be a bit longer.

Posting now from my TechNet Win7 x64 Ultimate install.

It's actually entertaining to me that I can say there isn't a whole lot of difference between this (7600) and my previous install (7100), or even the initial beta (7000). There are a few minor differences and fixes, but the initial public release of 7 was really close to what we have today.

Coupled with the RC-level XPM, the entire system is just fantastic. Can't wait for the final release of XPM to make my experience complete.
