    Linc Ugh. Wizards.
  2. Snarkasm
Snarkasm ... further raising the appeal of pirating them?
  3. QCH
QCH I've been using 4th for almost 6 months and still cannot stand it... why should I pay for crap when I'll never use it after this campaign... Back to 3rd....
  4. Thrax
Thrax 3.5 is king. I honestly cannot tolerate 4th Ed. I've tried.
  5. Gate28
Gate28 When I play (Which I wish I did more) I use 3. Never used anything else, its what came in my starter kit and its all I know.
  6. QCH
QCH I started playing at age 7 or 8 (yes 7 or 8 so 1982 or 1983). I've played every version and I loved 3rd and 3.5 right behind. 4th has become too idiot proof. Any non-imaginative person can play by picking some things. Dropping $30+ for each crappy book... not a easy pill to swallow.

I'd rather have a 10 page booklet, one for each class and race. Then a book with the player rules and skills. I'd pay $10 a booklet and $15 for the player's rule book.

Linc Welcome to Tycho's world. The M:TG folks have been suffering in it a long time.

I love Hasbro. As Lincoln said, us M:TG people have been putting up with this crap for quite awhile now.... :(
  9. Mochan
Mochan I've stopped playing Magic because there's too much crap in it. The prices for Type 2 cards are ridiculous these days and a lot of them lose value once they cycle into 1.5. It's ridiculous. And the power balance has been broken to hell and back, and what the hell are they doing to the color wheel?! As a Blue Mage I hate how they've continuously and unceremoniously nerfed Blue to hell.

This is why I moved to primarily playing Legacy. Don't have nearly the cost issues after the initial investment, since nothing ever rotates out. :) Ok, I'm done hijacking this thread. :D
