Xbox LIVE Marketplace Deals and Games on Demand

Xbox LIVE Marketplace Deals and Games on Demand

Director of Programming for Xbox Live Larry Hryb yesterday announced the Xbox LIVE Marketplace’s release schedule for the next two weeks, and there are several interesting titles coming down the pipe.

Xbox LIVE titles added to Games on Demand

  • February 9th: Street Fighter IV
  • February 9th: Halo Wars – Now available in Europe Australia and New Zealand.
  • February 16th: Resident Evil 5
  • February 16th: Beautiful Katamari
  • February 16th: Viva Piñata: Party Animals – Now available in Japan.

Xbox LIVE Deal of the Week

  • February 15th: Battlefield 1943 for 800 points ($10.00)

As usual, we can assume that all of the Games on Demand titles will be released at  a lower price then their retail counterparts. That means it’s probably a good time to pick up Battlefield 1943, Street Fighter IV, Resident Evil 5 or Halo Wars, if you’re into the Halo universe.

Meanwhile, new titles on Xbox Live Arcade will today include Darwinia+ and The Misadventures of PB Winterbottom on the 17th. As a port of the hit indie RTS Darwinia, we’ve been hearing quite a bit of buzz about Darwinia+, its new multiplayer functionality and all of its new content. If you’re interested in strategy or wonderfully retro games it’s well worth taking a look.

There will also be new gear in the Avatar Marketplace for Operation Flashpoint: Dragon Rising, Resident Evil 5 and Metro 2033.
