If geeks love it, we’re on it

You play Little Wheel. You play it NOW.

You play Little Wheel. You play it NOW.

In a world...

In a world...

Once in a while a game comes around that is something special. Sure, it may be short; certainly it is simple, but there is an undeniable charm that speaks through the pixels and says: Play me.

Today I write about a game called Little Wheel. I saw some buzz about it on Twitter and I decided to check it out. I’m glad that I did.

This is one of the “point and click” adventure-style games and with the silhouette art style it reminds me a bit of “Another World“. You’re a lone little robot in a big world and you have to figure out what went wrong, and reactivate the generator so that your world comes back to life. It’s nothing deep, but it’s cute, fun, and a good way to pass some time on a gentle Sunday afternoon.

Bandrik I played this game a couple of days ago, and loved it. The art style was amazing! I would love to play a fully-featured PC game based on this style! It really takes me back to the days of click-adventure games such as Myst (which I noticed was on the iPhone now... wow).

I'd love to know how the creators of this did the 3D effects. I wonder if they were created outside of flash, or if that's made in flash itself. Either way, beautiful. And the music, too!

One of these days I'm going to make a Flash game. There's just too much inspiration out there around me... I'm going to give in and just have to give it my own shot.

    Thats what she said.

CB It's cute, and I enjoyed it, but it's more of a click-through animated short than it is a game.

UPSLynx The music in this was most excellent, loved every bit of the game.
