Damn. That's alot of Pokestops in one area. I forgot to evolve my Tyranitar during the event, but it was still fun getting out to a local park walking around. There were probably 20 people or so walking around. Not bad when it was 95 degrees out.

Larvitar Community Day is this Saturday. Long story short, if you play it right, you will be spoon fed the most powerful, current meta relevant Pokemon in the game. You even have a great chance at finding a shiny!
Catch all the Larvitars and evolve a good one into a Tyranitar before the event ends to get Smack Down as his Fast Move.

Re: Card collecting like an adult
18 months later, I've completed my project! I now have room for all 25 years of Magic: The Gathering core, expansion, and supplemental sets arranged in (roughly) chronological order.
Are they all full? Heck no. A third still have zero cards in them. But man does it look good.
