Re: Returning to Folding@Home in 2016
The A8-6600k in my HTPC is now overclocked to 4.2Ghz. I'm sure it could go a bit more but that little PC runs really cool for folding 24/7 so I think that might be as far as I go with that.
My PPD hasn't quite averaged out yet, but I'm looking at an average of 301,286.numbers PPD for the last 7 days. If I can maintain around 300k a day I'll be happy until I do a fall hardware update, buy a new nVidia card when they release, trickle the 290x down to the HTPC and watch the points roll in.

Re: Icrontic St Paddy's / Nain Rouge 2016
Here is more information about the Marche for those who are interested. It's hilarious. It's Detroit's Mardi Gras.

Icrontic St Paddy's / Nain Rouge 2016
Where: ICHQ in Detroit, MI
When: March 18-20
What: An all-weekend gaming event in our home. On Sunday, we have a loud march thru the streets of Detroit to chase the Nain Rouge out of our fair city and usher in spring with our costumes and revelry. Bring ridiculous things to wear, and when in doubt, wear red. Keep in mind it may still be quite cold! There is a fun rally at the end. We will be walking distance from the house, so you can leave whenever you want.
Who: Bring a friend! Just let us know ahead of time.
Travel: If you are arriving before Thursday, please clear it with @primesuspect or I. If you need an airport ride, please attempt to coordinate this among yourselves before requesting pickups from us.
Accommodations: Tell us if you would like sleeping space in our luxurious attic. We have towels, linens, blankets, pillows, mattresses, and cots available.
Food: This is a BYO-everything event. Usually lunch is DIY and dinner is done as a group, but nothing is planned.
Special event: There is an 11am-1pm Friday opening at the local curling club that weekend in Ferndale (20 minutes away). It could be $30-40 per person to cover the flat per-lane fee. No previous experience required. It's a hoot. Let me know if you're interested in this when you "in" for the event. 6 person minimum, 16 maximum. Spectating is free.
