It is Alternate Earth 1941. France has surrendered. Britain is fighting for its life. The Americans have just arrived in the conflict. Magic is real. The Occult is real. Zombies are very real.

Your character is a member of an elite counter-occult division of the Joint Ally forces. Codename: Bugaboo. Your mission is to stop the head of the Neu Arischer Wicca (Neo-Aryan Wiccan) movement before he unleashes his latest occult creation.

These guidelines assume you are vaccinated per attendee requirements and arriving Wed 22 June or Thu 23 June. “Today” means 16 June.

First, everyone:

• Please rapid test or PCR test before travel.
• Please mask during travel.
• Please avoid being unmasked in indoor, crowded, public spaces during the event (like a busy bar).

Do NOT attend Expo if:

• You have a strong feeling you’ve been exposed OR tested positive OR showed symptoms TOMORROW, 17 JUNE or later.

Wear a mask indoors at Expo (SPECIFICALLY AN N-95 IN THE BASEMENT) if:

Please LEAVE Expo if:

• You develop a fever, body ache, or a persistent cough or sore throat during Expo.
• You test positive for Covid during Expo (please ask Lincoln or Brian for a test if you need one).

If you cannot attend Expo due to this policy, we will ship your swag to you and cast your tickets in prizes of your choice (within reason for shipping costs). Please notify Lincoln to coordinate.

If you are concerned an attendee is not following these rules, please notify Brian or Lincoln with whatever information you have. Please do not police coughs yourself.

Surgical masks are available on the first floor. N95s are available on request.

No events are scheduled for Sunday. Please plan to depart no later than Monday unless you've made other arrangements with Linc.

Costs

Tickets go on sale May 8 and will remain on sale until June 3.

The requested chip-in this year is $145. First-timer / discount chip-in is $55. We'll also have $25 sponsorships for the website's annual costs available for non-attendees.

If you will take longer than June 3 to chip in, please contact Linc directly to make arrangements. Theme and other program details will be provided then. Some events will include additional costs to participate. Your chip-in only covers the general event setup.

Expenses

Attendees get an official event badge and t-shirt, plus maybe some other surprise swag. Chip-in also goes toward cleaning, consumables, venue maintenance, infrastructure upgrades, and the annual upkeep of this website. Multiple costs have increased this year, including EventBright's fee and badges, and we're purchasing large HEPA filters for the basement to keep everyone as safe as we know how.

Rules & Safety

Event rules and code of conduct will be included in the official announcement when tickets go on sale. COVID vaccination required. We currently do not plan to enforce a masking rule (the house lacks HVAC and is open-air aside from the basement) but this may change with little warning. Pack your masks and be prepared.

Events start with dinner Wed and run 11am to 1am, Thu-Sat. If I missed your event or screwed it up, this is the time to correct me.

In summary:

• Wednesday is new boardgames & MTG. I'm taking nominations for the Wed night LAN game.
• Thursday is high ropes course, Minecraft x2, homecooked pho, beer tasting, and the second annual Decathalon.
• Friday brings archery, a tea party, boardgames, wine tasting, BIKE & BREW (details below), and Smash Bros.
• Saturday finishes with Duct Tape Challenge, TF2, Human Chess (mini games), homebrew, & Mario Kart.

Also, we lied about Food Tour; it's on like Donkey Kong.

Decathalon is a team-based LAN gaming event that tests the teams' wits in 4-5 PC games.

Human Chess is an elaborate excuse to play hilarious party games in the alleyway.

Duct Tape Challenge is a team-based duct tape engineering challenge that changes every year.

Bike & Brew Tour is a biking tour of Atwater Brewing, Brew Detroit, Batch Brewing, Traffic Jam, Motorcity Brewing, and Jolly Pumpkin / North Peak. Anyone not biking can still join us at Batch Brewing which will double as our food tour stop that evening. The event after this being named "Smashed Bros." was not a schedule typo. Because of the stops for pints, the biking portion will be a bit shorter. Also, the last 3 breweries are all in a cluster & at the end of the tour from which it is a very easy walk back to the house. Rentals will be available and inexpensive.

Icrontic's annual Oktoberfest (and now adding Day Of The Dead) celebration will be Oct 28-31.

It hardly seems fair that ICOK, the event with the most annual occurrences, was the only one of the big three to evade a second year of cancellation, but here we are.

Do we even remember how to do this? Like, remember there are rules? And I guess I'll need to know who's staying overnight? Ah jeez, how does any of this work?? Don't forget a costume, and a photo for the offrenda if you want. And Coke Zero? I think? ...guys?

• Linc has graciously allowed me Friday night for tasting during ICOK, October 29th. So after we light the offrenda, we can drink some wine and have some eats.

For those of you that have not had Port before, Port tends to be on the sweeter/dessert side and have an increased alcohol content. The bottles I have purchased are across the spectrum from white to aged tawny style. Oldest bottle in the tasting will be 41.5 years old, so we have an exciting time ahead of us. As the alcohol content of this is high, and I think we will have a decent turn out for ICOK, I am opening 24 spots for the taking.

After the great success of @BobbyDigi's Not-Expo in 2020, we've decided to use the (hopefully) waning days of the pandemic to bring you a slightly more elaborate version. Call it... a pandEPIC.

We're selling tickets to help fund the webserver once again, but this year there's swag! You choose:

• $12 to PARTICIPATE — with an official attendee badge for your collection, mailed to your doorstep! (BYO lanyard) or...

All attendees will get a special role in Discord and access to an event exclusive channel.

There will be events that may charge additional fees (like a virtual Escape Room and a Murder Mystery) — we'll collect those closer to event time. We're going low tech this year, too: no EventBrite registration, just a Google Form & PayPal. No t-shirts, either, they're hard enough to pull off in-person.

Rules

Above all, this is to be a fun Role Playing Game. Anything that may happen that is or is not defined by the rules may be altered on the fly by BobbyDigi. As this is Discord Werewolf, chat in the public room, PM, Group Chats or by any other means is not only allowed but encouraged. Just remember you may not know who you are talking to.

Please follow the rules about spreading information. In keeping the spirit of fun, do not give any information to anyone, by any means, as a ghost that you did not give out when alive unless allowed by your character and/or expressly allowed by BobbyDigi. For example if you did not reveal your role in the public chat before you died, saying "Oh no! I was the Seer, you're all going to regret that!" is not allowed. Please Please Please keep this in mind when chatting as a ghost and don't ruin the fun by accident. If you have any hesitation about giving information, please run it by BobbyDigi first. If you are disqualified for this, you will not be eligible for the prize.

Goal - Survive. We will play this out until all remaining alive players are on the same team or another win condition is met. All players on the winning team will be considered winners, dead or alive, unless otherwise defined by their role.

Teams and Roles - At the beginning of the game, roles will be assigned and teams based on the roles. The two teams are Werepandas and Villagers. Each player will know their own role and team affiliation and may be aware of information about others at the beginning of the game. Each player may have multiple roles and they may change throughout the game.

Death - People are going to die. It is part of the game. When a player dies, they will be told they are dead but possibly not why or how. Upon death, it will be announced in Discord that the player has died.

Ghosts - When you die, you will become a Ghost. Ghosts lock in their team at their time of death. If a player is killed by their own team, there is a 50% chance of them becoming a Vengeful Ghost and lock in the opposite team. As a Ghost you are allowed to continue chatting with other players by all means but you will not be able to cast votes. As we saw in the previous game, players may gain special powers when becoming a ghost.

Day / Night - The cycles will move forward as I see fit. They will likely last a few hours each and stretch out overnight real time so people don't have to set alarms to play. I'll try to give enough time for chat and votes and real time sleep. The current day or night cycle will be in the Discord chatroom description.

Kill Votes, Day - Each Day cycle, everyone still alive may PM BobbyDigi a kill vote.

Kill Votes, Night - Each Night cycle, everyone on Team Werepanda team may PM BobbyDigi a kill vote.

You can change your vote by simply submitting another vote. The last vote you have sent, when the Day/Night is announced over, will be counted as your vote (Discord Timestamps will be used if needed). Your role and status may affect if your vote actually counts, but you may submit a vote anyways. Any player may choose to not cast a vote. If there is a tie after all mechanics have been considered, the victim will be selected at random from tied players.

Statuses

Protected - A player is being watched by another player and standard actions may not work as normal and may trigger abilities and actions that would not happen otherwise. The Protected player is told they are being protected but may not be told by who or what.

Ill - At the beginning of each day there is a 50% chance that it will be publicly announced that an ill player is ill. Players who are ill have a 50% chance for their vote to not count. When a player becomes ill, it will be randomly decided a length of 1-3 days before they are naturally cured.

Cursed - Can be on either team as most roles. If they are to be killed by the opposing team, they will be transferred to the other team instead.

Lover - During role assignment, at least one pair of Lovers will be chosen. The Lovers are informed about their love to the other player, but not about their Lover's role. The Love is mutual. If one Lover becomes ill, the other also becomes ill. If one lover dies, the other cannot bear the loss and also dies.

She passed away in early October at the age of 85. She leaves behind her husband, Eric, three children, eight grandchildren, and more great-grandchildren.
Johnathan fondly remembers spending time as a child at the craft store her and her then-husband Lee owned in southern California. Later in life Carol gained a deep interest in music and in astronomy. She played guitar, bass, ukulele, autoharp, and mandolin, as well as wrote songs and sang with her friends and family. Her and Eric built an observatory in the backyard of their home in Arizona to watch the stars, and once traveled to Alaska to see the Northern Lights.

She's holding me. Her birthday is Oct 29th. I've been alive longer without her than with her. She was caring, funny, snarky and generally an awesome person. She worked overtime to help us eat. She made sure we were taken care of. She kept us grounded. I miss her.

TF2 - TF2sdays - 8pm. MvM Shenanigans Mondays and Fridays - 8pm. We're going to upgrade the server for the month so TF2sdays will allow more players. Up to 32. We're going to do our darnedest to fill that bad boy every Tuesday night. The upgrade will also allow us to do Mann Vs Machine on our server. There will be events throughout the month allowing no cost MvM fun. We've got some custom maps along with some cheaty fun lined up.

L4D2 - Thursdays - 8pm. Valve is officially releasing a gigantic community made update for Left 4 Dead 2 within a couple weeks. The Last Stand Update. Starting October 1st, we'll get together every Thursday nights to check out the new campaign, see how long we can last in the 20 new survival maps, and we can even do VS survival now.

Among Us - Saturday, October 3rd and 17th - 8pm. Get your tasks done and don't die.

Minecraft Werewolf - Saturday, October 10th - 8pm. If you've not played on my custom map yet. You're missing out. Come for the bloodshed, stay for the memes.

Hangover Brunch - Sunday October 25th - 1pm. By this time, we're all going to be a bit babalaas. Shoot, some of us might still be drunk from the last two nights. Creation of the Icrontic Altar:

• It is customary to celebrate Dia de los Muertos with an altar created with photos of our loved ones filled with treats, flowers and water. The altar is not a worshipping place, but rather a place meant to welcome the spirits back to the realm of the living and give them nourishment after their long journey back to us. Incense is often burned and marigolds are frequently the main flower used to decorate.
• Each entered photo will be placed in a frame on altar created in the pub of ICHQ.
• Linc is going to be streaming the altar live for the weekend of the event. He has ordered flowers and has candles that are going to burn for the duration of the event.

How you can participate:

• Please send me (meghann.sikora@gmail.com or Humerusmeg discord) a 4 x 6 photo of a loved one you would like featured on the altar.
• Please also send a small blurb on your loved one, we hope to create a website that also features all photos and information so we can celebrate everyone's spirits during this!

So... Who's Escapin?

What we're reading about COVID-19 leads us to believe we won't be in the clear until August at the earliest. Even if all travel restrictions are lifted by the end of May, we feel it would be irresponsible to put 50+ people in the same house for 4 days. Gatherings of that size may still be banned at that point anyway. Postponing isn't a good option either: It's already hard enough to get everyone here at once, lots of folks are about to eat up all their PTO, and everyone is super stressed out just with their day-to-day.

As many of you know, we fund the annual website budget with Expo ticket sales. About 25% of your ticket cost goes toward this. With that funding gone, we've set up a GoFundMe for the next year of operations: https://www.gofundme.com/f/icrontic-newbuddhist-2020-fund

That leaves Oktoberfest as the next Icrontic event. Thankfully, it appears well out of pandemic cancellation range. What we'd like to do is extend that event by a day and maybe plan a group activity or three to give it a bit more structure. That will be Thu October 29 - Sun Nov 1, with folks welcome to arrive Wednesday. Activity suggestions are welcome.

Wednesday at 8:15 pm leading up to and after L4D2 will be System Testing. Launch games to make sure the installs are ready to go.
Going to put the custom maps into rotation on the TF2 server so players can make sure they will load. Link to hosted maps will be posted ASAP.
We will be assisting on getting Four Kings Casino ready to roll for those who have not played before.
We'll start a Rocket League tourney to make sure that goes smooth.
Take some time to get setup, you don't want to miss a moment of the fun at Game Time!

I'm trying to pack a lot into each night here so I'll be starting events at the given times. Some events require that you be there at the start to participate so please plan accordingly.

Rules

Above all, this is to be a fun Role Playing Game. Anything that may happen that is not defined by the rules may be altered on the fly by BobbyDigi. As this is Discord Werewolf, chat in the public room, PM, Group Chats or by any other means is not only allowed but encouraged. Just remember you may not know who you are talking to.

Cheating will not be tolerated I'm trying to not be harsh, we are all adults. The only thing I ask is, in keeping the spirit of fun, to not give any information to anyone, by any means, as a ghost that you did not give out when alive. For example if you did not reveal your role in the public chat before you died, saying "Oh no! I was the Seer, you're all going to regret that!" is not allowed. This will be breaking the rules, thus by definition, cheating. Please Please Please keep this in mind when chatting as a ghost and don't ruin the fun by accidentally cheating. If you are disqualified for this, you will not be eligible for the prize.

Goal - Survive. We will play this out until all remaining alive players are on the same team. All players on the winning team will be considered winners, dead or alive.

Teams and Roles - At the beginning of the game, roles will be assigned and teams base on the roles. The two teams are Werewolves and Villagers. The only role(s) each Villager will know is their own. Each Werewolf will also be told who the other Werewolves are but not necessarily everyone on the werewolf team. Each player may have multiple roles and they may change throughout the game.

Death - People are going to die. It is part of the game. When a player dies, they will be told they are dead but possibly not why or how. Upon death, a player will be removed from the Alive role in Discord and it will be announced in Discord that the player has died.

Ghosts - When you die, you will become a Ghost. Ghosts lock in their team at their time of death. If a player is killed by their own team, there is a 50% chance of them becoming a Vengeful Ghost and locking in the opposite team. As a Ghost you are allowed to continue chatting with other players by all means but you will not be able to cast votes.

Day / Night - The cycles will move forward as I see fit. They will likely last a few hours each and streth out overnight real time so people don't have to set alarms to play. I'll try to give enough time for chat and votes and real time sleep The current day or night cycle will be in the Discord chatroom description.

Kill Votes, Day - Each Day cycle, everyone still alive can PM BobbyDigi a kill vote.

Kill Votes, Night - Each Night cycle, everyone on the werewolf team can PM BobbyDigi a kill vote.

You can change your vote by simply submitting another vote. The last vote you have sent when the Day/Night is announced over will be counted as your vote (Discord Timestamps will be used if needed). Your role and status may affect if your vote actually counts, but you may submit a vote anyways. If there is a tie after all mechanics have been considered, the victim will be selected at random from tied players.

Roles

Team Werewolf

Werewolf - The default "Bad". While a need more than a want, Werewolves gotta eat so werewolves gunna kill. Werewolves kill vote each night. All votes from members of Team Werewolf will be considered. The terms Wolf and Werewolf are interchangeable.

Alpha Wolf - In addition to being a Werewolf, they have a once-per-game ability that they can use the night after a wolf role dies. That night, they can bite a target turning them into a wolf at the end of the night.

Fallen Angel - The Fallen Angel can kill vote for Team Werewolf and their target can not be saved by any form of protection. If any other players are with/guarding the player killed by the Fallen Angel there will be a 50% chance of the Fallen Angel dying also. If the Fallen Angel's role is relieved to anyone, it is seen as only "Angel". This role will only come into play if the Guardian Angel is turned to the wolf team.

Doom Seer - Able to peer into the future and see how bad luck will befall someone, sealing their fate. The Doomsayer is considered a wolf and has a kill vote for Team Werewolf. If their target is not killed, the target instead will be ill for the next day and night. If the Doom Seer's role is relieved to anyone, it is seen as only "Seer". This role will only come into play if the Seer is turned to the wolf team.

Traitor - Has no inherent special powers. However, should all of the wolves die, the traitor will immediately turn into a wolf. If the Traitor becomes immune, they lose this ability and turn to the Villager team as an Immune Villager. If the Traitor's role is relieved to anyone, it is seen as only "Villager".

Team Villager

Villager - The default "Good". The village contains many roles of Villagers who work together to keep their village and each other safe. Such as life, some are better at this than others. Some are not a they seem. All villagers vote to kill someone each day.

Guardian Angel - Able to guard someone at night. The person they are guarding is told they are being guarded, but not by whom. Should that person be killed during the night for any reason, they will survive. The Guardian Angel can guard themselves, but cannot guard the same person multiple nights in a row. If the Guardian Angel is protecting another player, their bed is empty. If the Guardian Angel's role is relieved to anyone, it is seen as only "Angel".
The Guardian Angel transforms into a Fallen Angel if they join team Werewolf.

Clone - During the first night, the clone chooses someone to copy. The clone is seen and acts as a villager until their target dies for any reason at which point the clone inherits the target's role and any current status.

Village Drunk - Villager without any inherent powers. The Village Drunk is ill by default. If the Village Drunk is immunized, they become ill at the beginning of the next day. It is not uncommon for the Village Drunk to wonder around at night, leaving their bed empty.

Seer - May attempt to see the role of any one other player once per night. The Seer's visions are not flawless and will at times fail.
The Seer transforms into a Doomsayer if they join team Werewolf.

Harlot - Able to visit someone at night but may choose to stay home. The visited player is informed they are being visited and by whom. Should the harlot visit the victim of the wolves, they will die in addition to the victim. If the Harlot visits a wolf there is a equal chance of them returning home after seeing an empty bed and dying. If the wolves select the harlot as a target and the Harlot is visiting someone else, they will not successfully kill them. If the Harlot visits an ill player, there is a 50% chance they will be come ill. If the Harlot is ill when they visit a player, there is a 50% chance that player will become ill.

Detective - May decide to identify one target's roles once each day. The target's role is always revealed to the Detective but there is a 50% chance that the detective's identity is revealed to the wolves each time they use their power.

Doctor - May immunize one player each day cycle. If the target is a villager and is ill, the ill status will be removed. If the target is a villager and is healthy, the target becomes immune. If the target is on the Werewolf team, the target becomes ill and there is a 50% chance the Doctor's identity is revealed to the target. The results of the immunizations are not revealed to the Doctor.

Hunter - After the first night, the Hunter may use a one time action to kill someone at Night. If the Hunter kills a member of the Villager team, the Hunter will also die.

Bodyguard - May protect someone at night. The person they are protecting is told they are being protected, but not by whom. Should that person be killed during the night for any reason, they survive and the bodyguard dies instead. The bodyguard can choose not to protect anyone and may protect the same person multiple nights in a row. If the Bodyguard is protecting another player, their bed is empty.

Statuses

Ill - At the beginning of each day there is a 50% chance that it will be publicly announced that an ill player is ill. Anyone who is ill's votes have a 50% chance to actually count. If an ill status is to be put on a player who is already ill, they die.

Immune - Can never turn into a wolf. Upon becoming immune, there is a 50% chance the player will lose all other special powers. If at any time an immune villager would normally become a wolf, they will die instead.

Lover - During role assignment, at least one pair of Lovers will be chosen. The Lovers are informed about their love to the other player, but not about their Lover's role. The Love is mutual. If one Lover becomes ill, the other also becomes ill. If one lover dies, the other cannot bear the loss and commits suicide.

Prize
The winning team will be included in a piece of art created by Icrontic's own Pink. Each player of the winning team, irrelevant if they were dead or alive at the end of the game, will be sent an archival worthy print.

Starting tonight with the Minecraft event, anybody who participates in a group event that is on the Icrontic calendar is eligible for one entry for a random drawing to win this laptop.

The drawing will be held on June 1st. There will be no way to win multiple chances—each participant gets one ticket (unless you opt out to let someone else have a chance). On June 1st, Bobby will select a random winner.

This is a good time to talk about the Icrontic event calendar: Since we won't be meeting in person anytime soon, this is a good chance to get something social going. If you would like to host an event like @HumerusMeg is doing with movie viewings, or @Cola is doing with Jackbox, or @BobbyDigi is doing with Minecraft, let me, Linc, or Bobby know and we'll put it on the calendar for you. Please keep in mind that most of the coordinating and real-time discussion about events happens on our Discord.

It's a free racing simulator that's welcoming to all levels of players, even those new to racing sims. No special equipment is needed just show up and blast around a few tracks with us.

Each race track will have a 10 minute practice round, 5 minutes to get in a qualifying lap and a 20 minute race. We have 4 tracks to play on and a few car choices. Everyone will be racing in a similar car to keep things fair. The game itself has all kinds of driving assistance built-in so you can talor the racing to your level and I have the server set to allow user choice of driving aids.

The game itself is fairly large so if you plan of participation (40gb) and I would recommend downloading it in advance. I'll update this thread (and discord) with the server information tomorrow.

Howdy y'all, your friendly IC Jon Snow trip organizer here. I'm in possession of a Frontier voucher that will expire in 89 days and I was thinking about trying to use it for one of two things:
1) a last-minute snow trip (a weekend in the next 2-5 weeks, staying at a ski resort)
2) a summer-ish camping trip (a weekend/week sometime in the summer to be determined by group availability)

If you are interested in either, please say so below (indicating which you are interested in). This would be somewhere in Colorado, probably renting a car from Denver airport and driving, possibly with a stop over at @PirateNinja 's house for fun and profit.

Here's the logistics, my plan is to span the gamete with 8 types of port that range from white to ruby port and young to old (2 yr-40 yr) with 1.5 oz tasting of each. 5 Bottles are <$25 on the regular so you will definitely be tasting things that are affordable to buy again in the future for evening drinking. 10 yr, 20 yr & 40 yr take quite a hike in price, but will be super neat to see the difference the aging process gives this delightful drink.

Small apps to accompany these pours. But take caution, I am not planning on making as much food as normal wine tastings.

Can accommodate 16 people and be able to keep my 1.5oz/each promise. Don't anticipate an issue doing this as it is a much smaller event than EPIC.
