TL;DNR; October Board Meeting Happenings...

Making Discord Easier to Use - Spent a fair bit of time discussing making discord easier for members to use and navigate, including making threads easier to find and use -- sent to Membership committee to decide next steps

Clarified Moderation Committee Mission - Edited the Moderation Committee charter adding a mission statement to make it more clear how the moderation roles interact with the Code of Conduct and emphasizing empathy and thoughtful communication over punitive measures whenever possible

Created Committee Resignation Process - Added committee resignation process to the committee charter document so it doesn't require Board action for someone to resign from a committee

Thank you to Meg - Formally accepted @HumerusMeg's resignation from the Moderation Committee -- Meg, thank you so much for all that you've contributed to our community through moderation and helping with events and expo. We really appreciate all your help!

** Legal Status of Club** - We are pursuing formal legal status as a social club and have most of the steps completed. Next step is to get our EIN which is on Sarah's plate.
