Thats discusting. The closest thing I saw to a computer part in one of the final pics is the back panel and RAM lifters.

Seven months obviously better spent elsewhere.

I'm with kanez on this one. :mean:

I followed some of the logs along the way. The work, the detail, the imagination and engineering that went into what you see above....I look at the end result in sheer wonder and see a labour-of-love, engineering marvel and piece of art all rolled into one.

In terms of computer cases and mods that still retain some visual keys and/or shape of a """normal""" computer case, this one is probably the ultimate ever been done. imho.

I'm kinda caght. Looks good, as in cool. But then it looks bad, as in... not cool. I dunno. The only way that thing looks like a PC case in any way is the basic shape. I like the color of everything though.

Ok, did you just call that a good wiring job? That is, quite possibly, one of the worst wiring jobs I've ever seen.

Actually, that's probably the ugliest wiring I've ever seen in my whole life.

Really. I'm quite impressed it actually works.

I hope the poor guy never has to attempt to track down a cabling problem. OMFGLMFAO.

Dear god people, go ahead and sh*t on it when you get that watercooling system in that case and make it look that good and work right. You are NOT going to do a better job than that with the amount of equipment that is in there, PERIOD.

Look at it this way, your case is a go-kart, that case is a F1 car. You sacrifice simplicity to make the enormous amount of technology in it work correctly in that size package. The fact that he pulled it off and worked out the logistical nightmare to get all the cabling in there is very impressive.

Actually, I liken it more to packing more people into an apartment than it's rightfully designed to hold. Can anyone say "Tenement?"

Well I tihnk that its tight myself. Guy put a lot of work and thought into it...

At least it kept him off the streets and out of trouble... lol

Probably kinda tough to keep clean though, once the dust starts to settle in it...

I'm sure the guy that built it is very proud of it but, if I were playing UT or CoD on it, would I see a differance? Like most modern 'art' it leaves me with the feeling of 'yes, and?' Apart from the personal pleasure the builder gets it's pointless.

That was my thoughts exactly, I read the whole article & the amount of effort the guy put in is unreal. But.... it does look messy on the inside however this must be down to the fact that hes boxed in the motherboard & pci cards and doesn't have anywhere to hide the cables as the usual "stuff them behind the motherboard" wont work. Airflow through that case will be none existant & I imagine with everthing boxed in the case temps are through the roof.

    Nice colours though.

huh? don't forget to fold fold fold.

the case looks really nice.... just when something goes wrong....

it's addaboy, not Addaboy damn it, there's no capital A!:rarr::mean:;D

anyhow, yes it's a lot of wires, yes it looks like a bitch to get anything in and out of, but come on, the thing is supposed to look like some kind of retro futuristic monster. it wasn't supposed to be about neat cabling ever. besides the whole thing is water cooled so the cabling is not an issue.

Other parts still need some airflow. HDDs, MOSFETS, RAM, etc.

i'm sure he thought of all that. my point is, this is not about functionality, it's about art. you won't be oing in and out of this case on a daily basis like we do.

Like some of the posters before me, I did take the time to read through a good portion of his project. What you come away with is that the designer put considerable time (and in my opinion creativity) in delivering on his vision. The painstaking efforts he put into the fabrication detail alone is just mindnumbing.

I applaud his efforts. Does it suit my personal style? No. But there is a lot of great ideas that I've come away that I'll will probably look to incorporate into my next mod.

He did an admirable job but ever since I read an article a few years back about plexi cases I've lost interest in them. Good way to show off innards though but not for me.
    Do cases get UL listed/approved?
