What's the funny text when I want a download?

Well it's image verification :)

All it's doing is just asking you to confirm a random string of characters before allowing you to download the file you want.

Why is it there?

It's to stop robot scripts and hotlinking to our files, using all our bandwidth and swamping our server :)

And I thought Shorty had joined a satanic cult and was sending hidden messages.

Must be...I found that for Windows to install properly you must insert the CD upside down and reverse polarity on the drive.

If you play a Windows CD backwards, it installs a Linux/Mac dual boot.

    Hey Shorty,

I can understand your reasons but could you please make the text more readable? like plain letters maybe... :D

Dan, honestly the rendering engine sucks. I have to try sometimes three times to get it right. I've seen other image verification schemes that are much more human-legible but still OCR-proof. It will clearly say "05uO0" and then you're like "o", "O", or "0"?

I had a tinker with the renderer today.. so theorectically.. it should be ok :)

I also removed the number 0 from the sequence. As the 0 & o are the main issues, this should help :)
