Thermaltake Volcano 12 is what mcwc is using on his XP-m 2500+.. in summer heat it hits 2.3ghz... but i think in the winter... it'll hit 2.4 maybe 2.5...

you can't replace the fan on the SLK-700 easily, as it uses a non-standard size. The silent boost with the smartfan2 i reccommended for the alx may outperform the alx, but not by much, if at all.

The bottom line is that no one is going to be able to give you a definitive answer. We've given you the best guesses we've got, but you're going to have to take a little risk here. I'd go with the ALX-800 and either one of the Thermaltake fans I linked you to in my PM.

As for the maximum OC, that is entirely dependent on the CPU in question. The best anyone can do is to tell you that most mobile chips hit 2.4GHz+

The SLK700 will use either a 70mm fan or a 74mm TMD fan. You can also use a standard 60mm fan (Place the wires on top of the fan - they'll hold it just fine).

Noman - if you're in Canada (Bigfoot computers is in canada - right?) I have a unused ALX800 or SLK900 & a Smartfan II or Delta 68cfm I can ship to you for $40 US (or anyone else who wants it)

I also have an unused XP-M 2500+ for $90US + shipping or you can have the XP-M 2400+ (in sig below) that does 2.4ghz v1.75 @ 56C Full load ($85)

hi, i have a couple of questions.
first, why do u have unused things? u just got them and just sell them without using? or what.{no offence, just asking)
when did u buy those things?is oem warranty over or not?
secondly,if u have not used those, how do i know if they work, what i want to say is,if u have checked the things and that they work properly, then i would like to buy, otherwise no use.

also, could u check how much shipping will it be, like to send those to
    scarborough
    toronto
    canada.

Good intentions...that is I buy (a lot of) things intending to use them, but then I change my mind and do something else.
