They've made my favorite game of all time: Battlefield 1942.
But their follow up (Battlefield Vietnam), was possibly the most purchased WORST release by EA, ever?
Hopefully Battlefield 2 (possibly the most anticipated game by the bf42, dc, and bfv communities), with enough support this game WILL go to summer '05 CPL.
#BF24SUMMER
Technically they didn't make the Battlefield series. They only published it althought that could all change since they want to buy DICE (the makers of BF).
I like EA Games, I own a bunch of them, although I have heard some stories about how they operate.
But honestly, you shouldn't be mad at EA for "consuming" these companies, if you're going to be mad at anybody, be mad at the obviously greedy owners of these companies who couldn't resist the bottomless bank account of an entertainment giant like Electronic Arts. These companies aren't on the receiving end of a hostile take over, they're run by owners who just can't resist a big check and therefore sellout (key word here) and take the cash, they don't care about you, I, or any other gamer, they care about making the payments on that new Ferrari and that new townhouse.
Personally, I know that's the way it works so I continue to happily buy games and software from these companies because it brings me personal enjoyment, just like I bought Command and Conquer games before Westwood sold out to EA; I bought Generals which was released under the EA name because it was a sweet ass game
I heard that the Command and Conquer franchise has now been discontinued as EA shutdown Westwood Studios HQ, A DIRECT RESULT of Westwood selling out. Sure, EA is "technically" to blame because they pulled the plug, but, had they remained an independent company, and with the success of C&C: Generals, do you think they would have just randomly closed their offices? I think not.
I LOVED Command & Conquer and hate EA sports games (Midway rules that spot in my mind, and most of my friends') so I 100% despise them, and if there are people out there that don't I will 200% despise them if I need to.
Seems like people are getting very frustrated with ea games. We have a new site to blow off steam at ea games. With members support the gamers voices will be heard for once.
This new website will have a story posted at iwnation.com (which gets 2000 hits a day from gamers) as well as teamwarfare.com (one of the biggest multiplayer ladders on the web today). Ea will take notice after all of the shoes we will step on to let the gamers put there 2 cents in and then some.
Please don't be offended by this. I support what you are trying to do. However, you may find that people will take you more seriously if you use proper grammar on your site. Especially corporate types from EA Games.
In many places on the site, you use the word "there" instead of "their". I noticed it in the opening paragraph on the home page as well as the poll.
There are also other minor things like "alot" instead of "a lot" or, preferably, "many".
I would suggest having someone go through the text with a fine toothed comb and check grammar and punctuation, as well as proper capitalization.
Normally, this would be nothing, but if you are trying to organize a movement, you have to be taken as seriously as possible.
No offence taken. Thank you for taking the time to look over the website. The corrections have been made. Like i said above, This is a website for the gamers so all suggestions will be looked at and corrected if needed. Since you took the time to proof read the website, can you please email me at admin@gamersagainsteagames.com . Again thank you
For the record.. I don't hate EA and CnC3 looks kick ass

I can never understand people complaining about working long hours. It's very simple. Don't work there.
I agree with you, but that's not what the EA employees' lawsuit is centered on. The employees, according to the suit, were not compensated by EA for overtime work, but were told to work the extra hours at normal pay or be fired. In other words, the workers were allegedly coerced into making a decision between leaving their jobs or accepting illegally low wages (no overtime pay).
I completely agree. I had to submit my question 10 times. One of there "updates" for the EA Link program corrupted my data and they kept asking me...did I update my drivers...I am like yes....did you not read what I wrote in my question....geesh. They really need to get somebody that can read and has a clue.
I hate EA cause their tech support is absolutely f***ed. I bought Cricket 2004 (I dare say it wasn't released in the states) and anyway the scoring in the game had bugs. Like it would say your player has scored 2 boundaries when they scored their first for example. I reported the bugs and tech support replies "Do you have the latest graphics drivers?"
Me -> "WTF has that got to do with the problem you retarded monkey?" Well I don't think I exactly put it like that but that was how I was feeling about it at the time. Anyway, mid this year they released the first patch for Cricket 2002 so chances of getting a patch for Cricket 2004 before 2006-07 look slim to none.
If it wasn't for BF1942, there wouldn't be an EA game I proudly own (or want to).
The NFS series from EA is a very good series. Im proud to own those and BF42 and Vietnam, and freedom fighters. havnt tried BF2 yet cause my puter is too slow and my graphics card sucks.
Ya that does bother me. Not that I hate EA, but I can't really like any company that buys out other companies just to make a profit. I am happy to say that I currently own one games released by EA, so I'm not give them too much of my money, but now that I know they do that I don't think I'll ever but another game from them again. Thank you (no I'm not being sarcastic)
