    SMx Project Sneak Preview!!!!!!!!

That's right team - the next few SMx computers are being prepped! They may not look like much now (without cases) but here's what we have in the works:

(Blue Arrow) Athlon XP 1900+ in an MSI KT3-Ultra2 motherboard. Currently OC'd to a 140MHz FSB and Folding for Team 93!

    ---AND---

(Red Arrow) A DUAL-CPU system. Two PIII Tualatin Core 1266MHz CPU's in an ASUS P2B-DS motherboard. Currently crunching two WU's for Team 93!!

    More Information Available HERE!!!!!!!

EDIT: Added composite close-up picture. And yes, the CPU fan on the MSI board (left) is spinning.

    I keep a tidy workbench, don't I? ;D

You know a clean workspace is a sign of....something or other. :o

I'm glad the SMX project is going strong again.

I've got to get my hands on a digital camera. I feel downright Luddite-ish since I'm so far behind the technology curve.

If it makes you feel any better, I have two broken digital cameras, and another literally held together by rubber bands. :D

How many points do I need to host one? Then I can send mad pics. I will have my GF pose on it and everything- shes good like that.

Go here and check it out. The host requirements aren't necessarily tied to points. You can find the full Hosting Requirements here.

Don't let that stop you from sending in pics of the GF, though. ;D

We can't view local folders on your machine. You need to attach the image.

Had to steer the lens away from the half of my desk that's piled with crap, tax forms, and more crap. :D

After I pay the tax man, I'll feel better about ordeing the water pump for the kit I bought from mtgoat. I'll snap another picture when I finally have the watercooling set up, and maybe my desk will be cleaner by then. She's headless at the moment, but I'll have my spare monitor back next month. Oh, and the ZIP drive is in there to fill the hole. I also tracked down some bay covers from some other cases. That grey one was a pain to get in there. It involved a rubber mallet :D

LOL ;D. Buddy J and his Coke-exploding prowess are 10 hrs away, so IC_11 should be safe. I'm still, nearly 5 years later, cleaning carmelized gunk off the cooling slits on the back of my monitor (the one in the pic). I gave up on the old coke-stained keyboard and gave it to my parents :D

SM18, housed right next to some crappy PIII-600 dedicated folder I threw together from spare parts:

Kind of a cool case for the P3-600 though
Not something we'd want for our main rigs, of course, but looks a bit better than the standard beige I usually drudge up for spare rigs.
