You think we're declining? HELL NO!

Oh how glum... all this rallying and our production still appears to be declining on Overclockers' stats, right?

Wrong.

There is a point recession throughout the project right now. Check out the teams above us and you will see that most of their recessions are MUCH more severe than ours has been.

I did a little quick math.

Avg. point/day decrease of top 11: ~14%
Our average point/day decrease: ~6%

That means everyone else is declining at about TWICE the rate we are. Ars went down by 23%! Francophone by 17%! Tech Report AND the Goons each went down 18%! That means they were all going down closer to TRIPLE our rate.

Keep up the good work, everyone. We've started our gain, and this party is just getting started

Exactly as I have saw! We have actually gained an average of 7K per day to remain at our 80K a day avg while almost all other Teams have lost. :D

The decline is ultimately from the current assignment of various WU's. While we all on average receive the same points per hour as everyone else, the value of some of those WU's are less than other's.

Here are some stats for you:

Look at the number of new users we've had in the last 18 days (picture on the right). Team 93 hasn't seen an influx of new Folders like this in quite some time. Remember, these new teammates are still getting the program setup to run at peak efficiency. They're already contributing - expect even greater things from them down the road.

The picture on the left shows just some of the Notable Milestones we've celebrated over the past week or so. In the month of April alone, we have had approximately FIFTY new milestones reached by Team 93 members.

Our team is on the move! :celebrate

    Stats: Part II

Look at the daily stats. This backs up what General Keebler mentioned about us holding our ground. Keep in mind that there were only seven stat updates (instead of eight) at EOC on April 3rd, due to the US switching to Daylight Savings time. April 7th is not over yet - that number will rise.

Check out the last seven months production by Team 93. Let's keep the trend heading up!

I'm throwing out a challenge to the team as our next goal in climbing back into the Top 10: Let's see how fast we can get that daily figure up over 100,000!!!!!!!:fold:

 I can say we are doing great. However, I can also say that our main problem is not recruiting new members, but it is keeping current members active. Even if all you do is one WU a week, that's still better than nothing. One thing though, we're not the only team plagued with fly-by-night members.

Well my computers have been down for a week becuase of the move. It's been up for almost two days now I think and I'm about to park F@H on my mom's PC and see about getting my brothers PC working again+F@H and also build that other PC I've had for a while now, but didn't have all my old parts to get it up and running again. So that's about 7GHz guesstimated worth of computing power hopefully up sometime tomorrow. Still trying to organize my new room and get ready for my dad's birthday party tonight.

GONNA GET MY DRUNK ON!

As of Friday, p2p community was 188 days away from us. Now, they are 200. That's a total delay of half a month! :D Great work!

Let's get them off our radar for good now... :ninja:

:) Team Short-Media could easily be back in the Top Ten in a year by just increasing our daily points average by around 70%. That would mean about 165 new active members at the current average daily production by current active team members. The only bad thing about this is we would need those new members immediately.

Stats of our immediate neighbors (4-10-05):
    SaGOONS- 740 active/155 points per - 2990 CPU's/38 points per
    Maximum PC Mag- 663 active/178 points per - 2470 CPU's/48 points per
    Team MacOS X- 633 active/178 points per - 2852 CPU's/40 points per
DSL Reports Team Helix- 312 active/229 points per - 1343 CPU's/53 points per
    Folding Frogs- 260 active/259 points per - 1171 CPU's/58 points per
    p2p-community- 1035 active/96 points per - 3336 CPU's/30 points per

    Our Stats:
    Team Short Media- 239 active/332 points per - 1499 CPU's/53 points per

We will be in the Top 10 again. :Rocker:
They've got power in numbers of members, but we've got the power in points per member and points per CPU.

Nice stats analysis, rc - you're not by any chance a fellow baseball fan are you? :)

What rc1974 posted shows the root of our problem - and the solution. The ppd per active member puts us even or better than everyone but the Frogs, who are ahead by a mere five ppd/member.

The answer - keep up the recruiting. Every new member we can get who's close to our team average in production puts us closer to our goal!

I've noticed that they have had a very sharp drop in active users in the past week or so. They've gone from almost 1100 about a week ago to now where they show 1024 active as of 9PM CDT and show a downward trend. That's a dramatic loss.

However, we show an upward trend in active members and currently as of 9PM CDT we have 242 active members.

We're doing good on defense... but now we need to go on the offensive. :smokin:

:sad2: Looks like one less machine on my folding farm.

It looks as if my b-in-law/sister's comp folded for a grand total of three weeks. I noticed today that I am down from 4 in seven days to 3 in seven days. Oh well...

This is just speculation, but I guess even after I told him about it he may have seen the "100%" processor usage and became panicked. These are the same family members that can have loads of malware/spyware/viruses on their computer and be totally ignorant of it. These are the same family members that ask me to fix their "slow" computer for no fee, which I've done way too many times already. These are the same family members that have loads of other crap on their computer running that really does slow the computer down.

I guess if their computer gets clogged with crap or craps out alltogether, I'm not going to be there to fix it for free... possibly not fix it at all  Three times already this year alone I've done this for them.

How fast is their computer? I've got an Athlon 850 that takes over seven days for the 600-Point jobs (it's crunching one right now, actually). Maybe you'll get a pleasant surprise in a day or two.

If not, then the next time they get spyware refer them to the most expensive spyware cleaner you can find. :vimp:
