it is extremely difficult and annoying to read your posts. Could you please type in normal english instead of aol speak? Punctuation would go a long way towards encouraging people to help you, and it would help people to take you more seriously.

When XP does a disk check, that means there's something wrong. If a disk check is happening every time your computer boots, then I would say something is seriously wrong.

What brand of hard drive do you have? You can download a tool from the manufacturer that will check the physical integrity of the drive to make sure that you don't have a failing drive. No matter what, I would highly recommend backing up any important data RIGHT NOW before your drive fails for real.

We know you don't mean any disrespect to your fellow forums members. It's just that written communication is ever so important in our society. As the manufacturing/assembly line segment of our economy shrinks, language, both spoken and written become ever so more important. As Prime put, you've got to work on your writing. No, there are no grades here, but frankly, I either laugh at or ignore posts that make the writer appear as though he hasn't made it through 3rd grade in elementary school.

Also, the fact that you are hear learning is evidence to me you are probably of a slightly higher cut than the typical AOL user. (Maybe that was too harsh? ;D )

If you have a floppy drive, download this and run it. It will make a bootable floppy. Boot off the floppy to test your drive.

If you don't, you'll need to make a bootable CD from this iso file. Same thing -boot off the CD and it will test your drive.

Don't apologize for typing badly. Just try to correct it, because most of the people who do all of the "helping" around here are all adults and generally have a lot of disdain for that kind of "typing". I personally don't care whether you type like a 12 year old or not - my point is that you will be taken more seriously if you type like an adult.

prime gave you a suggestion. Run a Disk Check program from Western Digital on your HDD. You probably got a Floppy disk with your HDD with the program on it.

Get the diagnostic tools from your drive manufacturer and run a drive fitness test. That will tell you if there's a hardware problem. If that comes up clean, then it's on to a software check. Could be a corrupt driver, or a virus or spyware.

u can also try to boot up your computer in safemode by pressing F8 when you see your post screen, and run a full scan with scandisk.. maybe u can find some mislocation files or structure error in your harddisk.
