MEMORY FIRM Corsair said it has introduced a range of what it claims are high performance memory modules with the overclocking version of bells and whistles for the modders and rockers of this world.

The firm said its XMS Pro Series have customised heatsinks and LEDs that show the memory is operating. The LEDs are pictured left...

But not a word in that article about performance. I never thought Corsair would have to resort to "Type-R"ing their RAM. What's next, talking RAM???

Putting LEDs on your RAM is like sleeping with your sister. Sure she's a great piece of tail with a blouse full of goodies, but it's just illegal.:wtf:

Shamelessly stolen from the movie Hot Shots.

I totally agree with you here. Not only are those heatspreaders worthless and totally unuseful, now they also have to make them like x-mas trees? Get rid of everything except for whats needed instead. Corsair just fell even lower on my list. I dont need any friggin leds to tell me if the memory is active or not.
