Aquamark gave me artifacts at lower clocks than 3dmark. So the OC isn't as radical. Good news is I was able to run tighter timings. 267 FSB seems to be the sweet spot.

...wow, the inside of your computer is sweet!

Before I got my Intel machine the inside of mine was VERY clean... but the IDE connectors on the mobo I have are layed down instead of standing straight up :\ Oh well :D

I knew you would jump in sooner or later lsevald :D
I wonder what 2K would give. Aqua MUST have DX9 though. Great clock anyway :)

This 9800 NP is maxed at these speed. It's just before artifacts starts. This vpu need a vcore mod. 500+ isn't bad for a 9800NP though.

I think I get 2nd place on this page :) Score below, proof in picture on my site, hehe. 52K!

Thats a nice score 55k... Don't think I can pull that with this poor stock cooling!

I almost want to buy a 5900np just to see how fast it is, and how the image quality looks....

    edited January 2004
To really be honest with you... The image quality without AA or AF isn't THAT great... ATi definately beats the FX series in image quality with or without AA or AF on.

I run all my games with 2x AA and 2x AF usually and it makes it smooth, but otherwise it's kinda "jaggy"

It does run fast though! Especially after I flashed it to a 5950 Ultra :D

Do you play FFXI at all? I do and for some reason AA and AF doesn't work on ati cards ..... hrm.

Yeah its seriously fast tho ... that GPU score on AM3 totally kills mine. 7k > 6.4k. You can kinda see with our scores how the 2 benchmarks (3dmark01se / AM3) are different. I get a 21k in 3dmark to your 17k, where in AM3 you get a 52k to my 50k. Looks like 3dmark is more cpu dependant? *shrug* cause our 3dmark03 scores are pretty close.

Never played FFXI or any of the FF series, lol.

After I flashed my card to the 5950U my 3dMk03 score went DOWN about 100 points... I have no idea why, people on the Guru3d forums were getting increases of over 1000 points after the flash :( I wonder what happened! Maybe my card didn't like the speeds and clocked down? I'll have to try again, hehe.

I had like 6600ish before the flash though so I don't know what made it go down...

Stock radeon 9600XT with stock cooling. The most I could overclock this with the stock cooling was 562.50/344.25. My scores suck compared to yours :(.

Wow... those are just a HAIR lower than mine, lol. Few more MHz and you'll eat me up :P

I went back to stock speeds and ran this test... Got a 37k with the SS 53.03x drivers and a 38k with the 56.55 beta drivers. I need to get my Albatron 5950UV bios soon so I can get back OC'in.

Fresh install win2k (HT disabled). Same O/C as before. CPU score dropped some (I think aquamark utilizes HT) but the GPU score increased. Overall increased a bit. ALMOST 52K. *waits for VR's and multimeter to come in the mail*

Well with some over clocking on the video card I think I can push it up to 35,000 but I think thats going to be the max I reach. I'll push it later and see what it can do.
