I have this AMD I've stretched for a couple of years-

    AMD 2600+ Barton Core - OC'd 15% (191/166)
    ASUS A7N8X Deluxe Rev2 1008
PowerColor ATI X800XT (replaced 9600 Pro) stock 500/500
    Antec TrueBlue Power 480W
    1GB(2x512) Kingston Hyper-X PC3200, 2-3-2-6
    74GB SATA Raptor + 160GB WD ATA
    Plextor 716A DVD+-RW & LiteOn DVDROM/CDRW
    WinXPro Sp2

(I'm a little surprised- some of this old stuff can still get some respect- :mullet: )

    Thinking of going X2 next.

OK, just got in my new Sapphire X800XT PE and installed it on my Dothan rig, along with a Zalman 7000 cu on the proc. I'm running the catalyst 5.7 drivers and everything at stock speed on the vid card.

okay I finallly got my drivers working correctly when I upgraded to 5.10 drivers :)

This is with the x800pro card. It's still not as good as the earlier post (a few posts up) that I got 47k with the 9800pro.. , but its a WHOLE lot better than the score I got while I was using the old drivers and had problems. I was getting about 20k.

    This is stock 475/450:
    untitled8fn.th.jpg

    This is the overclock 551/565:
    untitled0hl.th.jpg

Whats the problem does anyone know? I know a re-install of Windows would probably fix it... but its not that big of a deal to me to go to all that hassle.

something isn't right ...check what processes are running in the background when you bench.
    I know I can get 50k on my barton 3000+/400 w/ 9800pro.

well theres a lot of processes running, but I cant imagine any of them interfering with it. I had no programs open while running the test. Should I try it in safe mode?

nope Firefox, GAIM, and all the programs were closed. I had Thunderbird-Tray running I'm sure and a few other system tray things but they don't take up much CPU usage or anything.

Did you enable quiet and cool in your bios ? (It should be off).

    idk.. I'll have to look

also, under the SmartGART tab in Control Panel, what should the AGP setting be on? It defaulted at OFF. Just thought that was weird - should I change it to 8x?

I got 20+K with the 5.9 drivers with a X800XT. I downgraded to the 5.6 and my score went to 77K. Try an older driver.

After some tweaking I managed to get 2600 prime stress stable.
    I'm running the cpu @ 2600 (260x10) and mem @ 237 (3-3-2-8-1t)
The 7800gt was auto overclocked so I have no idea what frequency it was running at the time.

Not bad for a budget mobo!

This is what I got with my Opty 170 with an AGP X800XT-PE @ 2520. Not bad for an AGP board that's almost 2 years old.
