:celebrate SM31 Needs A Good Home!!! :celebrate
:smokin:
It's that time of year when gift-giving is popular, so Team 93 would like to give some lucky person the opportunity to host one of our SMx Project computers in their own home. While everyone else is opening gifts like socks, underwear, and hard-as-a-rock fruitcake left over from 1967, you could be unwrapping the makings of a pretty nice Folding machine. Tell me, which would look better under your tree?
:smokin:
If you meet the qualifications for hosting one of our SMx machines, why not sign up to be a candidate? You could be the one chosen to house this Folding rig in your home, not to mention having that extra Folding sig to show off your status as one of Team 93's elite group of SMx Hosts.
The Hosting Requirements and Selection Process are available on the team page. Please look them over carefully before signing up.
If you feel you meet the requirements and are willing to sign the contract, throw your name in the hat by posting in this thread and giving us some details about your hosting conditions (connection, environment, etc.) and your computer ability that would mark you as a suitable host for our latest SMx Folding machine.

If you happened upon this thread by accident and wonder what it is exactly that Folding hopes to accomplish, check out Join Folding for a quick summary of the F@H Project. Like many of us here, you could put your spare computer cycles to work for the betterment of mankind. Won't you consider joining us?
:smokin:
Sign up soon. We will give you plenty of notice before the signup period is closed and the SMx Committee vote is taken.
As per our new policy, there are no geographical limitations on hosting eligibilty.
:smokin:
Check out The SMx Project - Reloaded! thread for more information on the project in general. If you have any parts you could spare for future SMx rigs, go here and have a look at what we need. Memory (PC1600 or greater) and Motherboards are in extremely short supply. To keep this project going we need your help.
Good luck, everybody!

I am still running a Nice Fiber connection, with about 14 open slots on my network of 12 computers. My room never goes under 72 Degrees because I like it that cold Power bill isn't an issue, I run my own computer repair shop and build my own comps so I don't think and Comp issues will be a problem! www.mandmcr.com
I have been a Member here at SM for 4 months now "not the longest. but starting to build friends around here", But I think I have made it clear this is my home for Folding I am now folding in rank 75th for Team SM I have also gotten the community going with the other fun things I try to do. So I can only hope you the SM high ranked ballers will consider me for the cause
SLEDGEHAMMER70 wants In
The Powers that Be, (SMX Committee) take a lot into consideration. Don't let Sledges' app. discourage you. Throw your hat in!
FWIW, Still no room at my house. A couple of rigs still sitting idle.
:smokin:
Prof, Do you still have the fruitcake from '67? I need something to hold up my mailbox. (Damn snowplow took it out)
It's not the application that is chosen for the SMx rig, Like Donut said, the SMX Committee is the one to decide. IN my opinion everyone who applies has a very good chance of making it on the SMx team if they can meet all the rules & expectations for the SMx project.
just joking
Will it recognize dual HT procs? if so I'll have to upgrade!
sorry only quad cores in service pack release 87.34

Disclaimers:
Garg doesn't actually get to vote.
Batteries not included.
Do not take if breastfeeding, or pregnant.
Garg is not for everyone, ask you doctor if a free sample is right for you.
You've got my (fake) vote
Vote for Sledgehammer70
How about a slight deviation from our normal decision method:
I propose a stickfight to settle the winner. He who still has most of his fingers and both of his eyeballs at the end wins. You'll need those to put together SM31
Where's your self-discipline, man? If you were a girl you'd be pregnant all the time.
BTW: Good luck on SM31.

We are rolling these out in a different order than they were marked when they first appeared on my test bench, so the one labeled "SM33" is actually SM31.
Even with a new rig every couple of weeks we should be set for the next few months:
