It's not dead; it's just a goofy web page where the real download link is hard to find. I had to skip back and forth until I found the right download link.

You arn't downloading SP2, you are downloading a program that patches a SP1 install with all the current Pre-SP2 hotfixes.

I wrote a long winded reply, but as it just spat a database error out at me I cant be arsed to type it all out again.

    In Short.

You and BDR are downloading the WRONG file. You are downloading something that just installs all the PRE-SP2 files after a fresh SP1 install. Not SP2 itself (Which is the link I posted).

I've been getting the same database error, NS.

Well, when you all find the right one and someone's brave enough to test out the download, let us know.

I don't feel like messing up a pc that runs perfectly (almost) fine.

I see - so this file I got is useless? I figured out what to do to host something so if anyone finds it I'll put it up.

Some comments said it was buggy though. Oh well

I had seen before that we wouldn't see SP2 until 2004 but who knows for sure. SP1's been out about a year?

How often did SP's for Windows 2000 come out?

on average, 1 a year.. We're on SP4 for Win2K right now, and it's been out for around 4 years, so....

panzerkw: This isn't really SP2; it's SP2 beta. (Someone correct me if I'm mistaken.)
