I just upgraded my daughter's computer to a dually, with an XP2400 and an XP2100 both modded to MP2600. This will leave me with my KHA+ rig without a proc for now, until I can get a new proc to put in it. I haven't gained any more speed yet, but it will in the near future when I can afford to get another proc.:) :fold:

Tried to blow some bridges on an 1800+ to OC it in an ECS mobo (K7VTA3). I don't know if the bridge jobby worked. I was going to test it in my NF7-S but then I remembered I'd have to take the mobo out to get the HS off so I tried to connect the pins to some reasonable multiplier (14) and a reasonable VCore (1.7) but lemme tell you those pins are TEENY TINY. Even w/ a magnifier they are TEENY TINY. Then I decided to paint the underside of the mobo (figured that would be easier). I couldn't find my conductive paint so I went to Wal Mart to get a rear window defogging kit. Didn't have one. BLAH! I guess I'll try AutoZone tomorrow. Like I told Omega: I sure hope I didn't ruin my CPU in my attempt to blow the bridges.

I like the looks of that production differential....

unfortunatly, i had to slow my 2500+ down a little today to keep the temps down... its running at 1.9 G now as opposed to the 2.1 i had it at before, so not a big loss

on the plus side, i helped a roomie fix his rig last week and now he is folding for me on a 1600+ full time :D

I have a new Chieftec full-tower with 4 fans (Total of 8 in the box) everything runs cooler by about 5-8 degrees celsius. My confidence is high I can get above 3 Ghz. Also running the graphical client at work but It's slow in comparison to my home machine. It takes about 2 days for it to churn out a wu.

    Score:396 WU:13 Rank:440

I still think we are going to be overtaken, especially when looking at our threats list...... and the ominous bar pointing at us..... slowwwwwly....

Had to take off my laptop and my main PC most the time though as folding on my laptop makes it annoyingly hot and also means that it takes about 12x longer to charge due to it being turned on and under 100% load. My other PC is just next to me and annoyingly noisy, plus it generates way too much heat for my tiny room.

But, as I am moving into the attic soon I should be able to keep my main machine on 24/7, as long as the noise doesn't travel that easily.

Well I upgraded the family computer to a 1800+ and my new system is oc'd now to 1.95ghz, but I also switched my fan around on my h/s and dropped the temps, so I'm going to go for 2.0 now, my backup computer is lacking a video card to get it up and running, so I'm going to see if I can at least get it into windows to have it folding.

What threats list? AMDMB is set to overtake us in... 2016??? :p (No disrepect to them, it's just amusing the pages lists threats that are that far off) ;)

My HyperThreading rig is completely out of commission right now until I can secure a new motherboard due to last nights catastrophic system failure.

2 other systems have been backed down to stock speeds and are not folding while I commence data backups from the HT rigs' hard disks.

So.. that leaves me with 1 AMD Athlon T-Bird 1000 folding for the time being.

Panzerkw, nothing wrong with being timid about overclocking. A stable, reliable Folding effort at default CPU clock is better than an unreliable overclock. When you do build the resolve to overclock, just start a new thread in the Overclocking forum, and you'll have all the help you could wish for!

    a2jfreak: ootmadasiemanym ;)

Things are looking up. Got my data back after jury-rigging the system up, but still need another motherboard before I can get the HT rig back up and running 100%.

Data backups are now complete, so I've turbocharged my other systems and they are folding like mad :)

Back at about... 50% folding capacity :)

Overclocked my 2500+ to 2.25 and I am now folding 24/7 using FAH 3.25, trying to get my intel back online to add one more machine to my name

My guess is not a lot, especially once everything gets packed inside :)

I've got a new case coming, so nothing to worry about for the time being. One of those nice YY Cube Cases.

:eek2: Man, that is one PACKED case. I don't know if a fan would do anything. You need high pressure air injection at one end and a vacuum tube at the other. ;D

I doubt that even that would be able to cool the poor thing. :(

Want to take a guess where the CMOS clear jumper is located?:eek: (Hint: It's under the red dot)... :)

More good news on the way. Found a supplier of the ABit IC7-MAX3 in the GTA and I'm off to get one tomorrow. Can't wait to tinker with that board ;)
