I started getting this errror after I installed Windows xp(Don't remember what I was doing that moment when got this BSOD) now I got Diffrent BSOD Stop 0x0000008E(oxB075EDD2 , 0xAF488A1 , 0x00000000)It says Begining memory dump.
Memory Dump completed

My initial guess is a bad memory stick. How many sticks of memory are in the computer? If it's more than one, remove all but one. Place it in the first memory slot and boot the computer. If it works, change it for a different stick and repeat the process.
Also try this for each memory slot in your motherboard.

keep getting this error code after like 5 -10 mins normaly after starting a warcraft 3 game.

troll:
Thanks for creating this post. I had a similar STOP error and thanks to your post I was able to get on the right track towards resolving it. Though my particular issue was caused by a different virus, and my evil service was named "jjrrrrzz", your solution still worked and I was able to clean the machine. Thanks again!
I am having a rather similar issue. Everytime I start up the computer, after about 30 seconds I go into the blue screen. It does not fail. I am able to log into Safe Mode just fine, but outside of that...I can't do anything. I am running on a Windows XP comp made by Dell ...and am at sort of a loss right now. I've tried several of the things in this thread, but nothing works. My current error code is
0x0000008E (0XC0000005, 0XB9730B20, 0XA9A42808, 0X00000000). Any help would be appreciated, if I can give any additional info that will help, I can try..
I've got the small dump things on my desktop (Which has this problem) and it's currently runnign the Memtest as others have suggested.
I ran the virus scan thing on the first page of the thread and haven't encountered an error.
I do not think it's a RAM problem, however, I built this desktop about 3 weeks ago and i've not 'done' anything differently since then - except for killing Norton because it was slowing my internet right down.
Details..
Q6600 running at 3.0 GHZ
4 gig of OCZ ddr3 ram
Gigabyte X48 motherboard
Ati 4870 512mb
If I'm missing anything important let me know.
Would love suggestions... Blue screen isn't "regular", - e.g. not every time I reboot and 30 seconds in.. It's hit 3 times or so in the last week. I will upload info on the RAM test and the mem dumps after the desktop is done with the mem test.
Suggestions and help would be amazing, thank you very much.

What version of Windows are you running?
If your computer is crashing on an irregular basis, try to keep track of exactly what is going on at the time - what applications are open (including all tasks and processes), how long the computer has been running since the last cold boot (from a powered off state). The most likely cause is a memory problem - especially if it's not a regular crash. You don't always hit the same memory segments every time a program is launched, so it probably won't be tied to any single application or time span.
I was running Call of Duty 4 in the background (not actively playing it), I had Zmud open (a small MUDding software), and Firefox / MSN/similiar assorted apps. For this particular instance, I'd say the last cold boot would have been a few hours.
So far as the ram, i've run more... memory intensive programs before without a problem, as you say, the same segments arent always used, but I find it a bit odd that I went 3 weeks without a crash and then hit 3 crashes in about 24 hours.
I will dump the small dumps or whatever they are called as soon as I get the chance, and post a link here.
If you have any suggestions for me to do to help diagnose the problem, please throw em out
Oh, I should mention, I'm on the q6600 overclocked to 3 GHz, so a friend is suggesting it might be to do with my overclock. I'm going to be fairly annoyed if this computer doesn't even hit 3 GHz safely, to be honest, haha

I would definitely start there. Also if your memory is overclocked you might need to loosen some settings there as well.
The overclock speed of everything bar the multiplier and the other thing are done automatically by my BIOS, i dont know if this is standard or not, etc (e.g. the memory timings).
Is there any way I can test for the BSoD once I take it back down to a slower speed? It's just random really, isnt it? :S
The only way to really test at this point is to keep doing what you've been doing. If the system remains stable, I'd suggest manually overclocking if you're going to do so at all.
Out of curiosity, what case and cooling do you use?
Antec 900, just using some artic cooling fan, dont know the name off hand, but it was a cheap 20 GBP one.
I want to water cool it in the future, but will cooling help with BSoD?
Quite likely. Proper cooling is critical to keeping your computer stable - especially when overclocking. Water cooling isn't necessary at stock or reasonably overclocked speeds. If you'll take a look at a couple of the articles posted on this site (here, here, and here) there are several excellent cooling solutions.
You certainly have one of the best cases available for airflow so you have a good start.
Hi all,

is there a web page that i can download it? please, it's been 5 days trying to fix this problem, can someone help me...
thank you.
Hello rozzie;
Usually with preinstalled systems there is an application that loads at boot time reminding you to make recovery disks for your system... Unless its a clone then you need to get a disk from the company you bought it from.
You can't legally download a copy of XP but you can use a friends copy etc... to get to the recovery console.
Install it on your computer, it will install in safe mode if that's all that works, and run it. It won't be able to update in safe mode but the data file that comes with it is usually quite current.
Do a full scan of your computer and have it fix all that it finds. You might need to run it two or three times as it sounds like your machine is infected.
You should really run a memory test as well to make sure that your ram is good. You can get a CD image as well that will boot if you have no floppy.
If your machine will not work stable enough or is just to slow from infections, then you will have to get a friend, computer shop, school, local user group, or anyone else... to put the memory test on a cd for you and possibly the Malwarebytes on a cd or memory stick.
Thank you very much troll, i download the program and now everything is showing on desktop... when i restarted the pc, it took me to a page from microsoft saying that it was recover from a stop error that i need it to do a restore from the date before i had the problem, but it only allows me to do it after i had the virus so i didnt do the restore... i runed malwarebytes for the second time and it found again 3 bad items and right now im running a 3rd time.. i will follow the instructions on the spyware &virus removal forum..
again, thank you very much for your time and help.. u guys are angels

thank you.
Hello rozzie;
Usually with preinstalled systems there is an application that loads at boot time reminding you to make recovery disks for your system... Unless its a clone then you need to get a disk from the company you bought it from.
You can't legally download a copy of XP but you can use a friends copy etc... to get to the recovery console.
What you also need to do is get a copy of Malwarebytes from:
http://www.malwarebytes.org/mbam.php
Good Luck!
