I have been looking all over for a place with a decent selection of fans from Mechatronics and con't find any other than a couple 60mm and 80mm models. I am real interested in the MC9238 as it looks like it will push a lot of air and acording to the specs is fairly quiet for what it does. The "L", "M", "H", "E" and "X" in the chart just refer to the different speeds. All help will be apreciated.

thats the only 80mm fan u will need!

38mm thick fan and fairly quiet would be an achievement. Some overclocking places might special order you one. Plycon or some other quality place was eager to please like that.

    Gnome
It is a 92mm fan. That's where I am running into the problem.

Good Idea. I'm not in a real big hurry since I have someting to use but when I looked up the specs I was very impressed and have had good luck with their fans in the past.

mtgoat, go to Mechatronic's website. I've had to contact them before when I needed a replacement for a specific Mechatronics fan that was in a CNC at the shop. They don't sell directly, but you can contact them and ask them if any of the distributors in your area has the fan you're looking for. If they don't, they'll (the distributor) probably be willing to special order it for you, which is what I had to do. The only thing is that they'll probably have a minimum order (in my case it was like 5...).

Yes, I am looking at the X model and it will be connected through a controller.

I'll take some if you have to buy a lot :D

You would think some enterpising store would have paired these up with the new heatsinks already.

Depending on the price, I may be interested in one or two myself, actually...

lol I keep forgetting this is a 38mm thick fan. Unless they were cheap I'd go with those tornado fans adjusted down a bit if you needed something right now. I'd have to have this fan in front of me to really know if that 47.5 dBA was okay or annoying since it's thick.

I will check and see what kind of price we could get say 10 or 12 for. If it is reasonably cheap then I will get with you guys and we can order some. But if they come to say more than $9.00 I will just get more Tornados as I already have one of them coming with my SLK-900 that I ordered the other day. ;)

Anyone know if these fans would fit as case fans in a Lian Li Pc-61? I know that tornado's are too thick because the HD cage gets in the way in the front, but i'm not sure about these. I'll have to do some measurments when I get home.

No, Al.. they won't. The only fans that fit in the PC-61, AFAIK, are 80x25mm. You might be able to use 38mm deep fans at the rear/top of the case, but certainly not in front of the hard drive cages. At any rate tho, these are 92mm fans, not 80s.

Ok I found a local dealer who is checking in to it and I should know for sure on Monday of Tuesday. I am also kooking into what it would take to be a dealer and buy direct. If I got to be adealer I would need to make a minimum inital order I'm sure but would not be able to keep any real stock except for very common products.
