CSimon-- That looks like Dual channel timing, and JED for dual channel is very close to that (2-4-4-8) so any chance your are looking at Dual Channel??? Second, the PC3700 is intended for a 533 FSB, not a 400 FSB, so yes, the RAM would have to be SLOWED down to match to 400 FSB and that is done with wait states. This actually looks like specs for a slightly OC'd 3500 forced to 3700, or DUAL CHANNEL to JED specs.
No, it looks like better-than-JEDEC timings. It's 2/2/2, which is considerably faster. Jedec standard is 3/4/4 for 3200, and anything above that hasn't even been touched
Of course he's looking at dual channel with that motherboard, but it's not likely he's presented any benefit. Additionally, slowing the memory down does NOT introduce wait states, as those modules are based on high-quality 5ns winbond modules (DDR400). It's simply lowering the operational frequency. Yes, it's overclocked PC3200.
It's also not PC3700, it clearly says 3500 in his links, and final purchase choice. That's DDR433.
both sinks fastened from top. 2 springed screws begun diagonally to insure even seat onto core ...I installed the other two then tightened all 4 in the same diagonal order.
blue duct attached to adapter ...waiting for ram and video.
edit:\ the ram came in yesterday ...the video should be in on monday ...will finish this project once and for all!
What you want is a Coolermaster DP5-5G11A. It fits on an NF7-S 2.0 w/o a problem, even with an SLK-900 (this is what I've got it on), once the base is lapped. There are a couple of aluminum lips to hold it on the chip (it's a socket a/370/7 cooler, the lips are there for the K6s and the Pentiums), but they are easily taken off by lapping it with 120 grit sandpaper. You can then progress up to whatever you choose (I'd recommend 1000).
Yes that was an awesome thread Geeky1 ...I'd be curious in seeing how that coolermaster method compares to the zalman ZM-NB47J and stock sink&fan in my situation ...you can probably see that the tornado will be blowing down onto whatever is there. However ...should I decide to reverse the fan (which I will definetly try) that would render a new variable.

well, I can't give you an objective comparison, but I can tell you this:
1. Fanless, the Zalman northbridge cooler can't handle AMD's 760MPX chipset without the exhaust air from one side of a SLK-800/SmartFan2 @ full speed... it gets uncomfortably warm without a LOT of airflow across it, and the 760MPX only puts out 10w of heat. I put MSI's fan off the stock northbridge on the Zalman, and now it's fine.
2. I can virtually guarantee that you'll get better performance out of the Coolermaster, just based on the fact that it's larger, has a fan, and has more fin area, if nothing else.

Read. Then engage fingers.
