The windows client is great - all I have folding at the moment is 1 PC and a PS3 and I'm in the top 20 producers, hopefully I can get my Opty back in the mix, just waiting on the new ATI DirectX 10 card.

you guys are starting to make me nervous! :D This newfangled technology....why back in my day we just had a lot of 1Ghz machines!

Seriously though, good job. SMP/PS3 is looking fantastic.

Your 30GHz won't get me before I take one....just so I can stay in my 22nd Team Spot.

OK, I don't want to hijack this log BUT! SMP doesn't seem to be working for me. I made a password for my XP account. I installed the SMP client. I ran the install.bat. I ran fah.exe and filled out (correctly I hope) the text prompts. Now it's running, but the FAHlog doesn't show anything. It's been running since last night and all the log shows is:

Launch directory: C:\Program Files\Folding@Home Windows SMP Client V1.01
    Service: C:\Program Files\Folding@Home Windows SMP Client V1.01\fah.exe
    Arguments: -svcstart

    Launched as a service.
Entered C:\Program Files\Folding@Home Windows SMP Client V1.01 to do work.

And that's it.... nothing else, nadda, zilch...

I'll search around and see if there's a solution. I'll also take a look at the Folding@home forums.

It is a booger to install as a service mate, not supported yet better to use the vanilla console and use trayit to minimize it.

I don't think it works as a service. I leave the console window open.

The account in which SMP is installed must have admin privileges.

and remember, any change in network status and you will need to restart.
The SMP is a bit touchy, but I making 2k/day off of a C2D and an AX2.

SMP is simply phenomenal... It went through a 1523 point Gromac in under 20 hours. Before getting this Core2, I had 3 machines, 2 Intel and an AMD but SMP is gonna seriously increase my production. By about a factor of 10.

Thanks to everyone for the help in getting it set up!

    Hey Enisada!

Can you please list what hardware are you using to output your current PPD and configurations?

    Thanks!
