How well do the Bartons OC?!?!

I just tried OCing one of my 2 2500s in my KX7... it hit 190x12.5 @ 1.75v, and it POSTed @ 195, but threw a cmos checksum error... when I get it fixed up, I'll try it again, but even 190x12.5 is 2375MHz, and that's on a KT333 board! How fast are these things usually good for anyhow?

ALot of people have gotten them well over 200FSB with a high multi. I'm not sure exactly, you'll have to let someone else tell ya that.

I'm surprised, I thought they didn't oc too well, but I just had it POST @ 200x12.5 (2500MHz) but it froze detecting the IDE devices, altho I think that's because I'm asking the PCI stuff to do 40MHz, and the AGP to do 80, which is an awful lot... I can't wait to get my A7N8X back and try it in there... if I can get them both running @ 2500MHz, then I'll end up with a 5GHz AMD dually :D

Thnx... I just bought 4 160GB 8mb/7200rpm Maxtor DiamondMax 9's for it too- 2x 320GB RAID 0 arrays (the old IBM Ultrastar 10k rpm scsis are <1/2 the speed of the 80gb DiamondMax 9 ATA-133 8mb drives, so I figured it's time to upgrade) Unfortunately for right now it's stuck with a Rage 128 until I get something better for it (I need my R8500 for my A7N8X-Deluxe 'cause the R128 is AGP 2x and it won't work in it) but soon it may have a 5900 ultra or 9800 pro, and I'm thinking about 2gb of PC2700 DDR too...

    Told yah! :)

They're the same process tech as the Tbreds, so you should get the same OCs

I concur. Also the 512mb cache is most impressive indeed ;)
